Is there a psychological element to a Halloween costume?  Some say that Halloween costumes show the person manifesting their desire to live out an idealized life....think shy girl wearing a vixen costume.   

Worst costume for guys:  anything with tights - that includes mascots, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Batman's "partner"...

Best costumes for guys:  anything manly

Best costumes for girls:  anything cute or slutty, let's face it.  This is the one day when a girl can wear absolutely anything and not be called a whore.  Celebrities are always fair game. 

Liquid latex is fabulous.   

Nurse costumes are sexy,  maybe without all the blood....they say it says something about the girl's repressed sexuality, haha...

I met my man at a Halloween party, I wonder what HIS costume says about him??

Why do Balenciaga's models all have the same dark eye makeup with an I'm-going-to-kill-then-eat-you expression?

Balenciaga, the fashion house designed by legendary Nicolas Ghesquiere (did I spell that right) recently showed their Fall 2008 clothing line....modern, elegant, risky, and very very edgy.  

He designed a couple of modern takes on the classic black cocktail dresses, but what drew the most attention were his slim cut latex dresses.  His approach wasn't fetish, like Gaultier or Galliano, but the result was modern and wearable latex fashions.  See black cocktail dress (left), latex womanly dress (middle), and liquid latex dress (right).
