In case you were unaware, HedonsFair has a profile on myspace now.  We've been adding roughly 30 friends per day every day, trying to get people to come and visit the website.  It's helped some, but our traffic is still lower than I would like it to be.

We've also sought to begin a link exchange with other sites in the same genre as us - if you have a link you would like to exchange send us an email and we will gladly add your link on our site. 

Todays pic is a cute Asian girl in a fetish transparent latex catsuit with bra on underneath.  Guess she's kind of modest.  I didn't know that latex clothing was big in Asia, but maybe it's catching on :)

This past weekend I went to see the latest Batman movie and prior to the show there were a bunch of previews for movies coming out.  Another comic turned movie is a flick called, "The Watchmen", that is due out this Fall.

The preview contains a 2 second slowmotion of a girl in black and transparent latex walking out of the shadows and fog.  It appears to be a catsuit or perhaps a latex bodysuit with black latex chaps. The girl is supposed to be a super hero.  Don't I wish all super heroe's wore transparent latex!  It's a great use of latex in a mainstream movie.

God I love Germans!  Gabriele Pauli, a politician for the Christian Social Union party in Germany, did a photoshoot for a magazine posing in a red wig and latex.  You never hear of that kind of thing back here in the states!

While I'm a big supporter of Barack Obama, if Hillary Clinton would pose in for a photoshoot in latex fashions, I think I would change my mind.  Although if there is anyone who could ruin a fetish photoshoot - it would probably be Hillary Clinton.

Anyway, Gabriele came out with a proposal to limit marriage to 7 years.  Not sure how her "Christian Social Union" party is going to like that.  I propose more fetish fashions and latex wear in the bedroom.  Eh - guess that's why I'm not a politician...

Supposedly there are some sexy shots of Pauli wearing leather and riding a Ducati motorcycle - damn she sounds like a sexpot.  Haven't been able to find any decent shots of those - if you come across, forward them on to me so I can post in the blog.

Releasing the blogs, advice column, product storylines, and also having Mosh as our promotional fetish model, has driven our number of visitors up 10x from what is was last year.  That's a huge increase.

Unfortunately, sales of pvc and latex clothing have not followed that 10x increase.  Granted, we haven't been working on the product line, so there isn't much new stuff to buy, but I figured that more people visiting the site would result in more sales of current inventory. 

This picture illustrates how I feel about hedonsfair right now - kind of melancholy.  Alas, Americans don't have much use for latex or pvc fashions it seems.  However, I get constant requests from models and photographers to give them free gear.  So, by the end of the summer or by Fall of '08 we will be switching to a new revenue model: rental fetish clothing.

Instead of selling our garmets, they will be available for rent.  Photographers and models will be able to use the gear for significantly less than the purchase price.  After 3 rentals, the clothing will be sold at a much reduced price, throught the website or ebay.

There are a some great artistic people doing some fantastic work in the realm of latex photography and fetish photography.  One of the top projects that I have seen is called "Love and Death Project". 

It's a combination of a model named Idelsy and her boyfriend, Sebastian, both of who immigrated to the U.S. and subsequently met, fell in love, and at the same time became as enamored with each other as with fetish imagery. 

Their inspiration comes from iconic photographers Helmut Newton and David Lachapelle.  The couple currently resides in sunny Florida and their backgrounds and choice of venue for their photographs is reflected as such.

We received new latex colors this week.  Unfortunately we had ordered pearlsheen orange and got regular orange, and we got burgundy instead of pearlsheen red.  So, the pearlsheen will have to wait 3-4 more months until we can get them in.  Arrrggghhh!!!!!!!!

We'd love to hear what you would like to see in orange latex, as currently I don't have any idea as to what I'm going to do with 300 yards of it.  I'm thinking that it could make for good stockings or leggings, when paired with a black or dark colored top. 

Latex leggings seem to be all the rage in the last few months with celebrity sightings and talk about them in all the trendiest fashion magazines and websites.  Orange is such a bright color, it really needs to be used as a compliment with more muted tones. 

Could be used in athletic wear.  Perhaps hot shorts with white trim and matching athletic top?  People did not respond that well to my first foray into latex athletic wear.  I guess latex and athletic wear isn't a combination that people desire.  Need to think more along the lines of glamour, fantasy, and lingerie.  Hmmm....

Waking up weekend mornings - you know when your just lounging in bed, half awake and half asleep - is the time when I am most often struck with new ideas.  Do you have any suggestions? 

Valentines Day recently passed and I got my sweety a gift certificate to an upscale spa, chocolates, lined her apartment with 80 candles, and cooked a seafood dinner with strawberries and chocolate rum fondue for dessert.  As an added bonus I got her a vinyl corset, pvc ruched top, fishnet stockings with vinyl banded top, zip through hot pants, and matching thong.

Needless to say it was a fun night!

Last week I noticed that the comments were not working, so I enabled them and within 48 hours a spammer was posting code that caused visitors of our blogs to be redirected to a pharmacy website.  Immediately the postings were removed, however the next day the spammer hit again.

The postings were removed, and this time extra precautions were introduced to prevent them from posting.  3 days later, we have effectively prevented any spam from entering our forums.  In having a little fun with our spammer, I setup some nice popup messages for him whenever he visited that ranges from, "People who enjoy latex and leather don't need viagra", "Naughty spammer, buy vinyl skirts not drugs", and "Who needs cialis when you have a latex fetish."

Personally, I think of the messages as marketing.  If I see sales to Russian spammers go through the roof, I'll know why!

Ahhh- back to work.  Thinking about latex swimsuits right now.  Transparent and black - hmmm, sexy!  For those of you on the East Coast, swim season will be upon us shortly...

Three weeks ago we had a computer crash, so that explains the lack of updates.  I've been working hard to get it replaced and scrape the data off the old computer and onto the new one.  I have awesome pics of Mosh that haven't been opened up yet, but within the next couple weeks I ought to have some done and posted on the site and the blog.

Valentines Day is this Thursday and I'm really looking forward to it!  My birthday was also last week, and my sweety - who gets an "A" for effort - came over my bday night and brought dinner and some cute lingerie.  I have to admit it gave me a chuckle that I have endless outfits of vinyl and latex creations, all at her disposal if she wants any one of them, and yet she came with a mix of cotton and sheer Victorias Secret type lingerie.

Granted - she is hot, and it was cute, but if you really want to push my button it's couture latex, vinyl, leather all the way.  I didn't say anything at the time, but we did talk about it a few days later.  I have to wonder what the average guy feels about girls in lingerie.  Does having a pension for latex, or legs, or whatever it may be - does that give you an extra rush / stronger feelings, over the average person who doesn't have such inclinations?

I don't know, I feel like it does.  My opinion is that it adds to the quality of the relationship, because of the extra excitement it can create.  Honestly, I try to keep everything in perspective, and I feel blessed and lucky to have met someone who is attractive, has a great personality, and enjoys pushing my buttons even though it may not be her thing.

Recently I had a revelation that the website is too generic.  We have a range of items that don't really fit into one exact niche other than being latex and vinyl alternative fashions.  There are so many subcategories within the alt world that people don't really associate hedonsfair with any one particular taste.

Therefore, the plan for the end of '08 will be to split the website into two sites.  One will be for punk, alt, fashions - extending our line past just vinyl and fishnet, into everything that is anti-mainstream, alt, punk, etc.  We will probably add shoes, jewelry, magazines, and more.

The other half will be only fetish fashions geared toward the softer side of fetish.  Focusing on cute womens lingerie, lots of pastel colors and cuts that are soft and sensual.
