Here we have an average photo shot by a complete amature, probably around halloween, or for some kind of costume party.  No idea where I found this one - probably floating around Myspace or something.

I want to talk about what I find particularly hot about this photo.  First - the girl is super cute.  Asian girl-next-door type of look, and being that I'm of the majority race here in the US, I definitely find minorities to be a bit exotic and therefore more sexual and attractive perhaps that your run of the mill white girl.

Super cute face, great body - can't fail to mention that.  Everything is proportionately how it should be.  The facial expression also contributes to my love of this shot.  She's smiling and having fun - seeing happy people makes the viewer feel a similar level of happiness.

Next, notice the black banded choker around the neck of our asian pvc nurse.  It doesn't seem like it's part of the outfit, probably something that she wears regardless of the costume.  I love chokers.  They emphasize the neck and impart a degree of submissiveness - like she would like to get tied up - is that reading too much into it?

Checkout the rings on her fingers, the labret piercing and what also looks to be a tongue piercing.  All of these details signify to us that she is alternative, but they are not too over the top.  I love the contrast of the girl-next-door face / hair and look of this girl, combined with the alternative rings, choker, and piercing.  She's open minded, she's fun, she's alternative - the complete package.

Oh - and let's not forget - she's wearing a vinyl nurse costume - ymmm....Totally hot - and despite the amature nature of the shot - I give it a 9.5 on my hotness scale.

This is the cutest vinyl, pvc skirt ever!!!  Three layers of ruffles with an underlying petticoat, all in gorgeous fetish black vinyl.  This is without a doubt the cutest skirt I have ever laid eyes on.  I asked the girl where she got the skirt, but so far I have not heard back.

Can't say that I've seen it anywhere.  If you look closely you can see that is it a high quality make.  The ruffles themselves could have been left unseamed, as an unfinished vinyl edge will not unravel, however they have been serged on the edges with a close knit stitch to provide a finishing touch.

Latex and fetish fabrics have a "bad" or "naughty" or "hardcore" connotation associated with them.  When the lay person things about leather or latex clothing they probably imagine a dark basement dungeon where a serious looking dominatrix punishes a client wearing shiny thigh high patent leather boots and a tight latex minidress with spikes and chains.

However, fetish fashions don't have to be about domination, power, and giving off a "tough" vibe.  They can be soft and gentle, sensual instead of pornographic, loving instead of dominating.  Stereotypes were made to be broken.

One of the many ways to give a softer look to fetish fashions is through the use of color - instead of the typical black, red, and white power colors, we can use pastel pink, blue, yellow and softer pallettes.

The design of the garmet can also greatly change the feeling and look that the garmet conveys.  One of my favorite designs is the ruffle.  Large ruffles at the bottom of knee skirts, small ruffles on panties or at the collar of a latex v-neck shirt.  Ruffles at the wristband of a pair of vinyl gloves - there are so many uses and they all lead to a look of softness, elegance, sensuality.

Wikipedia has a good description of the 3 levels of paraphilia.  Optional - where someone occasionally seeks to enhance sexual arousal by engaging in a specific actiivity.  Preferred, where a person prefers the paraphilia to conventional sexual activities, but also engages in conventional sexual activities.  Lastly, exclusive, where the person must have the paraphilia in order to engage in sexual activity.

I suspect that everyone has what could be classed as an optional paraphilia.  What couple hasn't engaged in something other than naked bodies to enhance arousal.  This could be mini skirts, high heels, or lingerie - anything not done all the time, but on occasion to entice, or increase arousal (typically in a guy).

Preferred is less common, and exclusive paraphilia is quite rare.  I would be interested in knowing what percentage of the population has what is considered a preferred paraphilia.  I have at least a few friends out of a group of 30 people, who I would consider to have a preferred paraphilia due to the fact that I know their preferences.  So my guess would be around 10% of the population.

One friend of mine engages in some level of bondage on a semi regular basis.  I have another friend who loves butts - seriously.  I suspect that people who do have preferences, don't talk about them.  Sex is a very touchy subject, and even between close friends, anything deemed out of the ordinary is probably not discussed.  It's much easier to strike up a conversation anonymously over the internet about such practices with like minded people, than the confide in a close friend your deviant desires :)

A quick search for images of "goth fashion" reveals a ton of black vinyl and latex.  After doing a little research, I gained a more formal understanding of goth fashion and why vinyl and pvc is seen so often within the culture.

While the requirement of black color is used to show the "darker" side of sexuality and fashion, the preference for vinyl, pvc, and latex is an emphasis on the "otherness" of the culture.

Part of the goth culture is to be outside the mainstream.  Since these fabrics are rarely seen in mainstream society, they fit the bill.  The fabric itself makes a statement.  It says - look at me, I'm different, it's ok to look different.  Also, there is an emphasis on eroticism within the goth culture.  Vinyl, leather, and latex are sexually charged fabrics, as are satin, silk, and lace.

Reading on wikipedia (everyones favorite place to research) revealed that Goth fashion is a calucated rejection to the unattainable "Barbie" or "Ken" look emphasized by mainstream media.  Goth clothing often emphasizes or sexualizes parts of the body - such as corsets, tight sleeves or pants.  Interesting stuff... check out this blog link about Japanese Gothic Lolita fashion to read more:

Friday night my GF and I went to my parents place out in the country.  I needed to do some work on my motorcycle and my brother was also having a party for my 3 year-old nephew at Chucky Cheese the following day. 

After dinner I did some work on the bike with my dad while GF caught up on some studying she was doing.  By 10:30 everyone was retiring for bed.  I jumped into the shower to clean up, and then snuck under the covers with GF.

She got up to go to the bathroom and was gone what seemed like a fairly long time.  I started wondering what she might be up to.  Was she so bold and naughty as to be slipping into something a little more interesting while spending the night at my parents?  Hmmm....  Was she putting on a pair of vinyl panties underneath her pajama bottoms. 

The bed we were in was old and creaky, so there was no way that we were doing anything that night.  What a tease she would be if she crept under the covers and placed my hand just underneath her PJ's to feel the slick, seductive, coolness of vinyl panties...

It's the small things that keep life interesting.  The considerations that one person makes for another.  Packing pvc panties for a trip away from home - yep, that's my baby!
